When it launches its new list next week, Brixton dim sum restaurant The Courtesan will become the first in London to sell only wines made by women.
The list will feature 30 wines from more than 20 different producers, each either crafted by a female winemaker or made by a winery run by a woman.
The list has been compiled with help from well-respected wine distributors Matthew Clark and Enotria and features 11 reds, 10 whites, four Champagnes, two Proseccos and two dessert wines.
While most are produced by female winemakers, some others are from wineries run by a female, such as Duval-Leroy Champagne which is led by Carol Duval-Leroy.
